Next up in relationships we didn’t see coming: Kanye West has reportedly been dating Irina Shayk. Four months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from the rapper, he was spotted about town—that town being Paris—with the Russian supermodel. Here’s everything we know.

2010: West name-checked Shayk in his song “Christian Dior Denim Flow,” which was released in October 2010. “I wanna see Irina Shayk next to Doutzen,” he raps in the first verse of the song.

A few months later, Shayk appeared in his music video for “Power.” It’s also worth noting that the model has walked in Yeezy fashion shows.

February 2021: Kim Kardashian filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. The pair share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Things had been bubbling up for a while. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told Page Six in January. “Kim has hired [divorce lawyer] Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”

As Keeping Up With the Kardashian airs, we finally start hearing more about the divorce. “He deserves someone that can go support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming,” Kardashian said through tears in an episode that aired in June episode. “I can’t do that…. I feel like a fucking failure that it’s, like, a third fucking marriage. I feel like a fucking loser. But I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy.”

“After turning 40 this year, I realized like, ‘No I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state,’” Kardashian told her mom, Kris Jenner, in the series finale, per Us Weekly. “To me, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, that’s when we’re getting along the best,’ but then that is sad to me and that’s not what I want. I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone who wants to work out with me.”

“Like, every single day Khloé and Tristan and I would work out at 6 a.m., the three of us, and I was third-wheeling it for a good eight months in quarantine and I was so envious of that,” Kim continued. “I was like, ‘Wow, it’s, like, the little things I don’t have.’ I have all the big things. I have the extravagant everything you can possibly imagine and no one will ever do it like that — I know that, and I’m grateful for those experiences — but I think I’m ready for the smaller experiences that I think will mean a lot.”

March 2021: While the supposed couple didn’t make headlines until June, sources told TMZ that they’ve been together since at least March. However, sources vary. One told E! that it’s been more like weeks.

May 2021: Another said they reconnected in May, not March.“Kanye and Irina connected recently when they were both in New York City,” the source told E!. “They met up one night and had chemistry and hit it off. It’s very casual and they have only been in touch for about a month. Kanye has expressed he doesn’t want anything serious but likes Irina’s vibe.”

“They have been seeing each other for several weeks,” a separate source said. “Kanye has been flying in and out of New York to be with her.”

June 2021: Things went public! Per TMZ, the pair spent time in France, where they were spotted walking together around a luxury boutique hotel on June 8. According to witnesses, they appeared to be an item.

According to reports, both Kardashian and Shayk’s ex, Bradley Cooper, are supportive of the relationship. “Bradley would be fully supportive of whoever Irina chooses to date — he just wants her to be happy,” a source told Us Weekly. “Bradley and Irina are not just on good terms as co-parents, they’re also close as friends and share personal things with each other.”
