Linda Fay Adams Jansen
Linda Fay Adams Jansen, known to many as Nana, went home to dance on the streets of gold July 4th, 2021. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas September 8, 1941 to Obe and Fern (Wood) Durham.
Linda wore many hats throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and she was an award winning Cosmetologist competing in numerous states. She represented Oklahoma well by winning multiple awards. Linda and her late husband Lee Adams owned and operated Lee’s House of Beauty, Lee’s School of Hair Design and Lee’s Beauty Supply & Wig Salon. She taught many students at Lee’s School of Hair Design that went on to have very successful careers. After retiring from Cosmetology she became a successful Realtor. Linda was a devout Christian and a prayer warrior for so many. Linda was the example of a true Christian. Many said Linda had a direct prayer line to God. She always had the best advice and only gave it when asked. She had such a sweet spirit. Linda was truly a blessing to everyone she came into contact with. When she wasn’t winning grand awards in competition she took math classes at USAO and flying lessons for fun. She is remembered by her grandchildren as spending hours in the kitchen baking the best sugar cookies while singing old hymns. She will be missed by so many.
Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kimberlee & Robert Drummond, grandchildren Jon Drummond, Jacquelyn Drummond, Nathan Breaux, Amanda Williams, Jackie Adams and Joey & Amber Adams and two great grandchildren Brycen and Khloee Adams and brother and sister-in-law Joe & Vicki Durham. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lee, whom passed away in 1977, in 1984 she remarried her second husband Lowell Jansen whom passed away 2014 and her son Mark Adams.
