Dress (TTS, wearing small), ABLE Abera backpack purse (use code JESSHOLIDAY40 to save $90!)
Happy Monday! Got home yesterday from my trip to Oregon with June (we were there visiting my family). WOW traveling with a toddler is a different ballgame than traveling with a baby. We both went to bed early and slept for 12 hours and I still feel like I need a nap today. 😂
Mentally, I’m with you back in Lisbon for today’s blog post! Funny enough, I was writing this post JUST as texts from Neal’s cousin rolled in (they were in Lisbon having dinner at Rocco!) raving about how much fun they’re having! SO JEALOUS! (ALLLL the Lisbon reccos over here in my Lisbon travel guide!)
A pretty smocked dress for all occasions
Today I’m highlighting one of my most versatile purchases of the season: this smocked maxi dress. I originally discovered it because so many of you requested help finding options for fall photos (both engagement and family photos!) and I stumbled upon it on Shopbop! (My favorite place to shop for last minute things because they have really cute stuff and it’s all Prime shipping!)
It’s a great neutral color, has a subtle print that makes it interesting–I love the figure-flattering smocked bodice with the romantic sleeves (and I like that there is elastic on the top part of the sleeve so it doesn’t slip off your shoulder!) The best part? It looks really cute with comfy sneakers–so you get the polish of a dress with the comfort of sneakers–ideal for travel!
And speaking of travel staples, you probably already know by now that this ABLE backpack purse is my travel go-to. Right now, you can get it for 40% off because ABLE is running their Black Friday sale all month long AND you get an extra discount with my code JESSHOLIDAY40! I love this purse so much because it’s easy to stay hands free and it holds a lot of stuff while still being small enough to carry around all day or night. (I use it for daily life too, not just travel, but I think travel is where it REALLY shines!) It’s also the kind of leather that looks great as it gets beaten up over time–I’d recommend applying a leather conditioner every so often to keep it looking its best. (ABLE sells one but you can get it anywhere!)
More ways to style this dress:
Here are a few more ideas on how to style! Whether you’re wearing it with tall boots, booties, sneakers–whatever! It’s perfect for Thanksgiving, a dinner party, a date night. Throw a leather jacket, jean jacket, or even a chunky cropped cardigan over the top. It’s a dress you’ll style countless different ways!
