CLEVELAND, Ohio — Former Cleveland City council member Zack Reed will host his 25th annual Toys-For-Tots party on Thursday, Dec. 16, with the aim of gathering toys for Northeast Ohio children.
The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. at downtown Cleveland’s Ivy Nightclub, 1212 W. 6th St.
“The goal of our holiday party and celebrity fashion show has always been to collect 1,000 toys each year, every child should wake up on Christmas morning with a gift to open,” Reed said in a press release.
Reed, Chris Sharpe, Kevin Jones and Robert Owens host the event, which includes a celebrity fashion show. They have collected more than 50,000 toys for Greater Cleveland kids over the past 25 years, according to the press release.
This year, the fashion show will feature appearances by local journalists, according to a press release. The list includes Fox 8′s Jazmin Bailey, Alex Stokes and Jennifer Jordan; WEWS’ Katie McGraw; WOIO’s Shannon Smith and Tiarra Braddock; and cleveland.com reporter Olivia Mitchell.
Tickets to the event cost $10 with a new, unwrapped toy donation, or $20 without a toy donation.
“Clevelanders love our celebrity fashion show and our local celebrities are happy to donate their time to help children,” Reed said in the press release. “Clevelanders have been very generous in their giving over the past 25 years, and we expect this year to be our most generous year yet.”
