STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two women sought for questioning in connection with a robbery in Port Richmond.
On Wednesday, at 12:40 p.m., two unidentified females entered the S.I. Beauty Supply store located at 1351 Forest Ave., according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
While inside they removed miscellaneous beauty supply merchandise, police said.
One fled out of the store with the property, while another was confronted by a 36-year-old employee, police said. That suspect pushed the employee to the ground and punched her before fleeing, according to the NYPD statement.
The victim sustained swelling and bruising to the face and was treated by EMS at the scene.
The beauty products taken by one of the suspects were valued at approximately $155, police said.
Surveillance photos depicting two females sought for questioning, obtained from inside the incident location, were supplied to the media by the NYPD.
One is described as having a dark complexion and slim build, and was seen wearing a white jacket, black sweater, black and white tights, white socks, white sneakers and a black bonnet on her head.
The other is described as having a dark complexion and medium build. She was seen wearing all black and carrying a black bag.
