Doors will open Thursday at the Little Lambs Consignment Sale, which will be held through Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 800 Greensboro Ave.
The bi-annual sale features gently-used infant and children’s fall/winter clothing and shoes, nursery items, toys, books and accessories, offering thousands of deals to shoppers across West Alabama.
“There are so many shoppers who buy their kids’ clothes at Little Lambs each season, and so we are excited to be able to hold the sale, because it provides a service to the community as well as the church,” said Julie Salter, co-chairman of the Little Lambs Committee. “We are glad to help shoppers find great deals on children’s clothing and other items.”
The doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. Thursday for a preview sale, which offers shoppers a first chance at the items before the general public. There is a $5 admission for the preview sale and no strollers are allowed that night.
On Friday, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. the sale will be open to the public with free admission. From 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, the sale will include most items at half price. Cash, checks or credit/debit cards will be accepted for payment.
Masks are required for entry as a precaution against COVID-19.
Proceeds from the sale will be used for children’s ministries at First United Methodist Church. Money from past sales has been used to buy cabinetry, furniture, a nursery pager system, gym equipment, musical instruments and Sunday school curriculum material. Proceeds have also helped pay for expenses associated with Vacation Bible School.
